The house is set in two acres of private land with olive trees and river frontage. There is a private landing stage, where the boats are moored, with a swimming platform.
Two terraces, a barbecue and plenty of space for relaxing and eating outdoors make Casa Guadiana the perfect place for a family holiday or for a quiet ‘get away from it all’ romantic break.
The house sleeps up to 6 people in 2 double rooms and one bunkroom.
There is a large, fully-equipped kitchen with gas cooker and fridge/freezer, a shower room, a large sitting room and a small utility room with a washing machine.

The position makes the house.
A terrace barely visible from a boat,
a perfect view of the wooded reach
before the river swings a gentle left
then right, to where the stucco forts
maintain an age old stand off.
Here you can see and not be seen.
Here the tangled clumps of cana
glide past the static grey of heron
halfway to the sea and back again.
Here the suction of the river
draws everything towards its muddy heart.
The river is used to being found.
Centuries after the Romans swaggered
inland on a tide of bronze, the miners
smelled iron in the hills of Pomerao
and yachtsmen heard the sirens sing
of peaceful moorings next to olive groves.
But this is of no matter for the heron
who knows the art of finding what you want
consists in standing very still.
